With less than one month until his showdown with IBF and Ring Magazine Cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek, Bobby “The Celtic Warrior” Gunn is in fight mode.
With two major titles at stake, the tall task of dethroning the world’s best Cruiserweight and an abundance of critics to silence July 11, Gunn has taken the intensity of his training to new heights.
Already weighing below the 197 lbs he scaled in at for his last bout, Gunn is putting in extra time at the gym to properly prepare for the fight of his life. Under the watchful eye of elite trainer Aroz “Terrific” Gist, Gunn has put in his best work yet.
His regimen also includes sparring sessions with world class fighters in the Light Heavy, Cruiser, and Heavyweight divisions.
Gunn and Gist, who guided fellow North Jerseyan Kendall Holt to a world title, are currently working on executing an in-depth game plan dethrone the once beaten Pole.
In addition to his strenuous training camp, Gunn has watched many of Adamek’s bouts and sees a great opportunity to capture the eyes of the boxing world with an upset.
“This is definitely my fight,” said Gunn, the current WBA-NABA and WBC-USNBC Cruiserweight champion. “I have a ton of respect for Adamek, he is a true ring warrior but with the strategy I bring to the ring on July 11, the fans at the Prudential Center are in for a big surprise.”
