TKO Boxing Packs The Undercard Tonight At York’s Sovereign Bank Stadium

TKO Boxing Promotions has announced details of an outstanding undercard set for tonight, August 1st at the Sovereign Bank Baseball Stadium, home of the York Revolution.

Headlined by a terrific eight round featherweight matchup between York’s favorite son, Carney Bowman and hard hitting Dominican Delvin Placencia, undercard features seven action packed bouts featuring some of the finest young prospects in professional boxing.

Making his return to the squared circle in his hometown of York, PA, featherweight Eric Nemo will square off against Denver’s Jairo Delgado in a six round featherweight bout.

The 25 year old Nemo, 7-1-1 (3KO’s), returned from an almost two year layoff to brutally stop Ricky Alexander at the Valencia Ballroom on March 7th.

Denver native Jairo Delgado, 3-2-0 (3KO’s), will leave the Mile High City for the first time to face Nemo. He is coming off a third round stoppage of Eric Bradford on December 19, 2008 in his hometown.

Fellow York fan favorite Stevie Weimer will battle newcomer Melcor Guillen Jr. in a four round welterweight bout.

In his last outing, the 19 year old Weimer, 3-0-0 (2KO’s), won a four round unanimous decision over Trenton Titsworth on November 8, 2008 at the Valencia Ballroom..

This will be Taylor ’s third bout in York, winning both of his previous bouts.

Ashworth, 5-4-0 (1KO), last fought on June 28, 2008, stopping Terry Broughton in the second round in Waveland, MS.
