TKO Boxing Adds Andres “Taylor Made” Taylor To Tonight’s York Fight Card

By Boxing Press August 1st, 2009 All Press Releases

Cruiserweight contender Andres Taylor returns tonight, August 1st at an action packed evening of world class boxing presented by Chet Koerner’s TKO Boxing Promotions at the Sovereign Bank Baseball Stadium in York, PA.

Fighting out of Johnstown, PA, Taylor , 8-1-1 (4KO’s), will square off against Lake Charles, LA native Roy Ashworth, 5-4-0 (1KO) in a six round cruiserweight bout.

In his last start on June 27th, Taylor and Leo Bercier staged an excellent two-way war in Youngstown, OH with Taylor coming up short in the six round decision, his first loss.

Said Taylor, “The loss was a blessing in disguise, I’m much more focused now. I know exactly what mistakes I made in that fight and I won’t repeat them. I’ve trained harder and longer for this fight and can’t wait to get back in the ring.”

Known for his legion of fans in Pennsylvania, Taylor said, “There’s a huge number of the 'Taylor Made' army coming down to the fight in York. Their continued support has been terrific for me.”

Said Chet Koerner, “Andres and I have talked numerous times since the fight against Bercier and I’m confident he will get back on the winning track on Saturday night.”

Featuring seven professional and five amateur bouts, the bill is headlined by a featherweight showdown between The Fighting Pride of Central Pennsylvania, Carney Bowman and heavy handed Dominican Delvin Placencia.

Tickets, starting at $20 for general admission in the grandstand of the stadium, can be purchased in advance through the York Revolution Box Office (717-801-HITS, www.yorkrevolution.com) and will be available at the door.

Ringside table seating is also available through the box office. Doors open at 4pm with the first bell at 5pm.

Sovereign Bank Stadium is operated by the York Revolution Professional Baseball Club, a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Sovereign Bank Stadium is located at 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York, PA 17401.

For more information, please call 717-801-HITS (4487), or visit the Revolution online at www.YorkRevolution.com
