European Boxing News: Tomasz Adamek vs. Andrew Golota In October?

Bullit Knockout Promotions in Poland will stage their first show of the new season October 17 or 24 in either Lodz or Warzaw. It could be a big show topped by Andrew Golota vs Tomasz Adamek with welters Rafael Jackiewicz and Jan Zaveck in a IBF eliminator while light heavies Dawid Kostecki and Devi Gogiya might square off in a fight for the IBC title.

Promoter Andrew Wasilewski and his team at Bullit Knockout are also on working on getting WBC cruiser champ Giacobbe Fragomeni to defend the title in November in Poland against Krzysztof Wlodarcyk. OPI 2000, Fragomen´s promoter, are reportedly not so interested though.

Heavyweight Jarno Rosberg take on Russian journeyman Daniil Peretyatko a/k/a Daniel Peret August 22 in Helsinki. Also on the bill is Finnish heavyweight champ Juho Haapoja.

If all goes well Haapoja will defend the title later this fall against Rosberg in what will be a hot domestic showdown. Junior welters Ville Piispanen and Jakkoo Myllyla are also on the bill in separate bouts - and the plan is similar: showcase them here and have them in a national title fight later.

BBU middleweight champ Kai Kauramaki will defend the title September 12 in Pori, Finland. Opponent is to be announced.

Babilon Promotions in Poland stage a show August 18 in Miedzyzdroje by the Baltic Sea headlined by junior middles Karlo Tabaghua and Daniel Urbanski. The two square off for the vacant IBF Youth and International Polish titles. Tabaghua, 11-0, fights out of Stockholm, Sweden, but is licensed in Poland.

The annual Ben Brijl Memorial in Amsterdam October 26 feature the comeback of former WBF heavy champ Richel Hersisia. Hersisia has been out since losing to Ray Mercer in Sweden last year but is now coming back training under ex-pro Chris van Veen in the Hague. Also on the bill is lightweight Innocent Anyanwu. Hassan Ait Bassou will defend the BeNeLux jr welter title against Islam Teffahi in the headliner.
