“No respect.” As the classic comic Rodney Dangerfield, may he rest in peace, used to always say. I am here in my home trying to relax and anxiously awaiting for the fights to come on ESPN 2. To my dismay, there is college baseball. COLLEGE BASEBALL! No wonder our sport is not growing. With some great fights set for tonight, WHAT THE HELL IS ESPN THINKING? They cover extra innings in a college baseball game. College baseball takes priority over boxing? The so-called “commitment” that ESPN made to boxing is obviously not what the populous was made to believe. They are supposed to be promoting boxing, especially since they are trying to have success with a pay-per-view coming later this month. I guess they plan to have a pay-per-view baseball game in about two weeks. I don’t know about you friends, but I’m tired of having boxing take a back seat to any sport, especially COLLEGE BASEBALL! We, as fans of the sport, need to be more consistent and dedicated to boxing. If we provide the number of viewers, it will force the networks to make other sports take a backseat to ours. Of course, that’s just me going off on a rant. Let me know what you guys think.
