Donnell Holmes' promoter Rick Lazes reports, “It’s unfortunate that Brian Minto has turned down our offer for a rematch with Donnell Holmes.
"I have made it clear that Holmes will fight Minto anywhere and at any time. Minto’s Management has refused this offer.
"Perhaps if Minto fights a couple of tune up fights he will re-gain enough confidence to get back in the ring with Holmes.”
Donnell Holmes stated that “I’m anxious to fight any top 10 heavyweight, particularly Valuev, Haye, and Arreola. In the meantime, I will consider a fight with Sam Peter, Michael Grant or David Tua.
"If Minto doesn’t want a rematch, its time to move on to bigger and better opponents.”
