Tonight, Matthew Macklin faces off against Amin Asikainen for the vacant European middleweight title as boxing mad Manchester has reached fever pitch.
Headlining "Euro Glory", Macklin, 24-2 (17), will finally have the opportunity to reach his potential in this tough showdown with former title holder Asikainen, 26-2 (17).
Birmingham star Macklin already holds the British title but must deliver a strong performance if he is to outslug his seasoned Finnish opponent at Manchester Velodrome.
Chief support is provided by a ten round middleweight contest between Peterborough's Cello Renda, 17-7-1 (10), and undefeated Sam Horton, 13-0 (2), of Dudley.
