By Boxing Press October 4th, 2009 All Press Releases

Seminole Warriors Boxing has joined forces with Chicago ’s 8 Count Productions to co-promote undefeated super middleweight prospect Donovan George, it was announced today.

Said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing, “I’m very proud to announce this co-promotional agreement for Donovan with the number one promoter in Chicago, 8 Count Productions, who has been a dear friend for many years. Together we will make him a true star in boxing.

"Besides, Donovan is a native Chicagoan and I’m confident that having him fight in his hometown will lead to even further success in his career and make him a big time attraction that the people of Chicago can be proud of. ”

The 24 year old George, 17-0-1 with fifteen knockouts, has proven to be amongst the most popular fighters in the Chicagoland area since turning professional five years ago

“We’re thrilled to partner with the team at Seminole Warriors Boxing to co-promote Donovan. He’s become one of the top prospects in the sport of boxing and we feel he has the talent and dedication to become a world champion” said Pesoli.

Mike Michael, exclusive advisor to Cestus Management said, "We are very honored and happy with the collaboration of Seminole Warriors Boxing and Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions as Donovan's promoters."

George is coming off a devastating fourth round knockout of Emmanuel Gonzalez on July 31st at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood , Florida .

In his last Chicago appearance, George brutally knocked out fellow Chicagoan Shay Mobley on August 4, 2007 at the Allstate Arena in front of 10,000 Chicagoland fight fans on the undercard of the David Diaz/Erik Morales WBC Lightweight Championship Title bout.

Details of George’s first bout under the Seminole Warriors/8 Count Productions banner will be announced shortly.
