The Klitschko brothers, Vitali and Wladimir, and Universum have for five years fought in courts over when their respective contracts with Universum expired.

It´s now been decided by a higher court in Germany that the Klitschkos were right. Universum had argued that the contracts should be extended with the time the two champs were injured and not available to fight.

Not so, says the court. According to Bild, WBA middleweight king Felix Sturm has hired the same attorney as the Klitschkos had for his contractual dispute with Universum.

Mads Larsen vs Brian Magee for the vacant European super middle title is now according to Palm Promotion on for January 30 at the NRGI Arena in Aarhus, Denmark. This means Larsen get his chance two weeks later than proposed.

French junior middle Christophe Canclaux faces former WBA ruler Joachim Alcine December 5 in Montreal in a non-title fight scheduled for twelve. Canclaux was close to a shot at the WBA title when Alcine was champ but it never materialized. Since then Christophe has left Sauerland Event and is now with R2 Images & Event.

P3 Boxing in Finland next promotes in Tampere November 27 with heavyweight Juho Haapoja defending the national title against Jarno Rosberg on top.

At junior welter Ville Piispanen and Jaakko Myllala clash for the vacant Finnish title. Swedish heavy Attila Levin is likely to be featured on the undercard and there could be a local grudge match between feathers Andreas Evensen and Reidar Walstad - both from Norway and the Trondheim region. The two have sparred together but generally the two camps don´t collaborate.

French flyweight Bernard Inom returns to action after almost 18 months out December 11 in Nimes and takes on Nicaraguan Henry Lipton. Inom, 19-1-1, challenged for the WBO title in 2005 and won the European crown in20 08 but then retired.

Inom is currently sparring with European bantam king Malik Bouziane, who is preparing for a defence against Emiliano Salvini November 26.
