Boxing Weigh-In: Scott Lawton vs. Leva Kirakosyan

Yesterday at Hatton Health & Fitness Gym in Hyde, England, boxers gathered for the official weigh-in ahead of tomorrow nights 11 bout fightcard at Fenton Manor Sports Complex in Stoke-on-Trent. Hosted by Hatton Promotions – the weigh-in saw two boxers over the weight limit.

The two ‘Stoke’ title fight weigh-ins went without a hitch with both Scott Lawton and stablemate Chris Edwards looking relaxed and confident.

Scott Lawton v Leva Kirakosyan
12 x 3 European Super-Featherweight Title

Lawton: 9st 3lb/ 129lb
Kirakosyan: 9st 3lb 6oz/129.5lb

Chris Edwards v Abmerk Shindjuu
12 x 3 Vacant Commonwealth Flyweight Title

Edwards: 7st 12lb 9oz/110.5lb
Shindjuu: 7st 11lb 10oz/109.5lb

Danny McIntosh v Tony Oakey
10 x 3 English Light Heavyweight Title

McIntosh was overweight by one pounds and a half at the first attempt. He went away to lose weight and came in at half an ounce over, but removed his shorts to lose the other half an ounce.

McIntosh: 12st 7lb/175lb
Oakey: 12st 5lb 6oz/173.5lb

Gary Buckland v Sam Rukundo
10 x 3 Lightweight Commonwealth Final Eliminator

Rukundo was 10 ounces over the weight at his first attempt but came in dead on 9st 9lb shortly after.

Buckland: 9st 7lb 14oz/133.75lb
Rukundo: 9st 9lb/135lb

Jones – who had endured a 7 and a half hour journey – finally stepped on the scales at 10st 3lb.
