The co-main event for this week’s ESPN2 Friday Night Fights is heating up as prospects Prenice Brewer and Patrick Lopez have engaged in a war of words leading up to their eight round junior welterweight showdown this Friday night, August 6th at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.
After hearing Lopez express that Brewer has an “amateurish style”, Brewer stated, “I guarantee that Lopez has never seen speed like this. He will get hit multiple times before he can move towards me.
“The truth is that we’re on two different levels and that will be shown on Friday night. After Friday night, the boxing world will know who the future boss at 140 is.”
The undefeated Brewer, fighting out of Cleveland, Ohio, brings a record of 15-0-0 with six knockouts into the battle against Lopez, 19-2-0 (11KO’s).
Said Steve Smith of Rumble Time Promotions, “ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights is a perfect platform for a terrific, young fighter like Prenice to showcase his skills and impress the fans at the venue and those watching at home. And Prenice plans to take full advantage of the opportunity.”
Along with Rumble Time Promotions, Prenice is co-promoted by DiBella Entertainment.
