Light Middle Jimmy Lange Starts Three City Boxing Tour

By Boxing Press August 17th, 2010 All Press Releases

Junior middleweight contender Jimmy Lange (33-4-2, 22 KOs) is back in action this Friday night, hoping to continue his winning streak after scoring a second-round knockout over Jimmy LeBlanc in his last bout on July 10.

Lange, a lifetime resident of Northern Virginia, returns to the ring on Friday in Greensboro, NC, beginning a busy three-fight schedule leading him to Monroe, MI in September and back home to the Patriot Center in November.

Lange will face Baltimore veteran Mike McFail in a six-round special attraction bout as part of Walter Johnson Promotion’s “Friday Night KO Fights” this Friday, August 20 at the Greensboro (NC) Coliseum Complex’s War Memorial Auditorium.

It will be Lange’s first fight outside of his hometown since May 2005, when he defeated Tarick Salmaci in a “Fan Favorite” contest as part of The Contender series at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. Tickets, starting at $15 for general admission, are available in advance at the Greensboro Coliseum box office or at the door on fight night. Seven bouts are scheduled for the card.

After the stop down south, Lange will travel to the Midwest on Saturday, September 18 to be part of a Monroe, MI show headlined by former WBO Light Middleweight world champion and Michigan native Bronco McKart. His opponent in the co-main event has not been named yet. For more event details, fans can call (734) 240-4820.

Concluding a busy schedule, Lange will return to his home turf on Saturday, November 6 as the Main Event (opponent to be determined) on another dynamic and electrifying Jimmy Lange Boxing card presented by Valcourt Building Services at the Patriot Center. First bout will start at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:00 pm).

Tickets cost $35, $50, $75, $125, $200, $300 and $500 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by logging onto www.ticketmaster.com, calling phone charge at 703-573-SEAT, 202-397-SEAT or 410-547-SEAT or by visiting any Ticketmaster outlet, including the Patriot Center box office (703-993-3000).
