Hennessy Boxing: Cadman Added To O’Donnell vs. Cauthen Fight Card

Waltham Abbey’s Daniel Cadman will make his return to thering two months after his impressive display in the Prizefighter series, on theundercard of the exciting “Night of International Boxing”at York Hall, Bethnal Green on Friday 10th September.

The co – feature fightsinvolving two of the UK and Ireland’s finest boxers, JohnO’Donnell who is taking on Olympic Bronze Medalist American TerrenceCauthen over 12 rounds and Tyson Fury who will be fighting over 10rounds, both bouts will be televised in America on Showtime at 11p.m.ET/PT (same day delay).

The event will also be shown in Canada on the SuperChannel Network and the UK Broadcaster will be announced soon.

ThePrizefighter semi-finalist who has spent the last week in Belfast sparring WBAranked number 1 challenger and current European Super Middleweight Champion BrianMagee told Hennessy Sports, “I only got the call from Tony(Sims) my trainer last Tuesday telling me that I am fighting at YorkHall, now I can’t wait.

“I’m still buzzing from my prizefighterencounter in June and I believe that night I showed people what I’mcapable of. Imight have lost to the eventual winner but I gave him his hardest fight of thenight.” Added Cadman.

The SuperMiddleweight reckons spending time in Belfast will give him the extraconfidence and experience he needs to put in him a position to start tochallenge for honours.

“Sharingthe ring with the WBA World ranked number 1 for the last week has beenexcellent, it really makes you up your own game and gives you the extraconfidence you need to challenge for titles, and to add to that before I cameout here I was sparring another world class boxer European Champion DarrenBarker. You can’t wish for anymore experience before a fight, both guysare a different class.”Said Daniel.

Promoter MickHennessy said, “Daniel showed on the night how exciting he can be, hecame so close to stopping Mendes, I believe he would of beaten him and gone onto be crowned Prizefighter champion if he was not so eager to knock him out. Hecertainly has the potential to win titles”

Cadmanwill be joined by Colchester’s Lee “Lights Out” Purdywho will be looking to defend his Southern Area Welterweight title (*subject toboard approval), Phill “Intense” Fury will be out to recordhis 6th straight victory and the highly popular Light Welterweight Chris“the flash” Evangelou from Enfield will entertain the packed crowd and look to extend hisunbeaten record on the undercard of the exciting “Night of InternationalBoxing” at York Hall.

DebutantsJohn “Gorilla” Ryder (Middleweight) of Islington and Tyler Goodjohn willboth be making the crossover to the paid ranks for the first time.
