Fresh from his first round stoppage win over contender Andrew Golota, WBO heavyweight champion "Relentless" Lamon Brewster may be set to challenge current WBC titleholder Vitali Klitschko. The Ukrainian giant has fought only once since winning his championship, an eighth round stoppage of England's Danny Williams. A minor back surgery interrupted Klitschko's plans to fight former champion Hasim Rahman, who has now been matched with top-ranked contender Monte Barrett. Politics would demand that Klitschko honor his mandatory obligation by fighting the Rahman-Barrett winner, but Brewster is waiting on the sideline and could figure in a very exciting fight with any of the three aforementioned heavyweights very soon.
