Following his stoppage loss to Hawaiian prospect Brian Viloria this past weekend, boxer Ruben Contreras suffered serious injuries and now lies in a come, induced by doctors at the California hospital where he is receiving treatment. Contreras suffered bleeding on the brain a a result of his fight with Viloria, he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. Doctors are not entirely sure what will become of Contreras but it is hoped that he will be able to recover soundly and if he does, he will not likely be able to box again.
The SaddoBoxing team wishes Ruben Contreras a speedy recovery and asks boxing fans to spare a thought for yet another of boxing's fallen warriors.
