Polish heavyweight Andrew Golota's reward for being knocked out in less than a minute by Lamon Brewster last month is to fight a WBA title eliminator against Russian giant Nicolai Valuev. "The Best from the East" Valuev's record stands at forty-one wins without a loss and his last five fights include wins over such notable heavyweights as Clifford Etienne, Attila Levin, Gerald Nobles and Paolo Vidoz. Once a prominent heavyweight contender, Golota's current position must come into question having failed in no less than four world championship contests. The fight may land as a featured attraction on a major Don King card to be promoted in August.
Stay tuned for confirmation of all bouts.
