British fight promoter Frank Warren, at the head of this weekend's huge light welterweight fight in Manchester between his man Ricky Hatton and champion Kostya Tszyu, revealed his feelings to the media that the fight is the biggest one he has been associated with in Britain in twenty-five years of promoting the sport. Warren, the British fight game's top promoter was responsible for bringing Naseem Hamed to the fore and still promoted undefeated Welshman and WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe. Warren even brought Mike Tyson to Manchester for a fight with former British heavyweight champion Julius Francis. But Warren is in no doubt about the fact that Tszyu-Hatton represents England's biggest ever fight occasion. He told the IC Wales online source, "This is the biggest fight I have promoted in British boxing under Board of Control regulations for 25 years. It is a fight fans' event - we have got the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world in Kostya Tszyu, and Ricky Hatton who is unbeaten and improves with every fight."
