The WBA super middleweight championship of the world is still in the grasp of Danish fighter Mikkel Kessler thanks to his unanimous decision win over Australian former champion Anthony Mundine. In a dominating performance, on the score-cards at least, Kessler remained undefeated at thirty-six wins with no losses and keeps himself viable for high-profile unification fights agains the other super middleweight world champions. Already, a fight with WBO champion Joe Calzaghe has been mentioned as a future possibility for Kessler, whereas the future for Mundine looks somewhat less clear after suffering another championship loss.
