Once again fight fans, you know that SaddoBoxing.com is on the rise when one of the top trainers on the planet takes the time to return this writer's phone call, even though he is right in the middle of the busiest time of "fight week," making sure his fighter is going to make the weight and is fully prepared for this Saturday. "Buddy" McGirt had this to say regarding the upcoming fight between his charge, Antonio "Magic Man" Tarver and the champion, "Gentleman" Glen Johnson. "Training camp went beautiful baby. In the first fight, everything but the right thing happened. There was a lot of things happening around us. A lot of chaos, but all of that is gone now and we are back on track. We are going to get out of the starting gate much quicker this time. Glen thinks he is going to wear him down, but he is sadly mistaken. Being an ex-fighter, I've traveled the roads that these guys have traveled before, and I completely understand what needs to be done to get fighters to the next level. We are a 110% percent focused for this one, and I just see a victory. I don't care how we win, but we win baby!
There you have it fight fans, Tarver is "110%" ready and is going to "win baby!" I couldn't have said it any better myself.
Writer's Note: I would like to say thank you very much to "Buddy" McGirt for being so gracious to return my call even though he is right in the middle of "fight week." He did not have to do that, but it shows us fight fans that he is as dedicated to the growth of the sport, as he is to the fighters he trains. Stay tuned for more exclusive comments from McGirt regarding the up coming fight between his figther, Arturo "Thunder" Gatti taking on "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather.
