Heavyweight Tom Dallas increased his impressive record by scoring a third round KO over Hungarian Gabor Farkas. The eight-bout card from Gillingham, Kent also featured boxing brothers Vinny and Scott Woolford, who both won their contests.

At the York Hall, Bethnal Green, Bristol Boxer – Darren Hamilton, won the Southern Area Light Welterweight Title when Peter McDonagh’s corner threw in the towel in the eighth.

In Wigan, Liam Walsh of Norfolk successfully defended his Commonwealth Super-Featherweight Title by scoring a tenth round KO over popular local man Jon Kays. The Frank Warren Promoted bill featured 11 contests.

In Dagenham, Essex, Cruiserweight – Tony Conquest of Romford won his scheduled eight round contest by sixth round TKO over Ghanaian – Prince George Akrong.

In Germany, Michael Sprott of Reading won his four round Heavyweight Contest against German-born Serdar Uysal. This clash was on the under-card of the Vitali Klitschko v Oldlanier Solis – WBC Heavyweight Title Bout, in which Klitschko ended the Challenger’s hopes in just one round. Cuban-born Solis stumbled backwards from a blow high on the temple, but suffered a knee injury in the fall and was stopped.

In Canada, Northern Ireland-born Brian Magee lost out to Lucian Bute by tenth round TKO when he challenged for the IBF Super-Middleweight Title. Romanian-born Bute won the Crown back in 2007.

The Hatton Promotions/Khan Promotions/Golden Boy – event at the MEN Arena in Manchester on April the 16th continues to add more bouts. The event billed as ‘King Khan Returns’ now boasts five Title Contests including Amir Khan v Paul McCloskey.
