Undefeated WBO minumimweight champion Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon makes the latest defense of his title this Saturday night as he takes on Gerardo Verde on the under-card of the Gatti-Mayweather WBC light welterweight title fight. Calderon is one of Puerto Rico's finest as an undefeated champion who has been in defense of the title for two years. In his last bout, Calderon knocked out Noel Tunacao in eight rounds less than two months ago. Verde comes into the bout having only one loss against thirteen wins. Verde is the WBO's Latino minimumweight champion.
