Texas-based WBA lightweight champion of the world Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz will get back into action on July 16 when he faces Arthur Cruz in a non-title fight. Diaz sustained a cut eye shortly before he was set to take on Ebo Elder in defense of his title on the first ESPN pay-per-view card earlier this year. Though that fight was not to be, Diaz needs to stay busy and signed to take on Cruz ahead of what may be exciting unification bouts against Diego Corrales or DiBella Entertainment's IBF champion Leavander Johnson. The possibility also remains that Diaz could fight former IBF champion Julio Diaz and Mexican warrior Jose Luis Castillo could also challenge Diaz for the title before the end of this year.
