Hopkins: Beyond the Glory.

By Boxing Press July 9th, 2005 All Press Releases

Reigning undisputed world middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins, who looks to successfully defend his title for the 21st time on July 16 against top contender Jermain Taylor, will be featured on Fox Sports Net’s hit series “Beyond The Glory” on Sunday, July 10 at 8pm ET / PT. The show, which goes beyond the ring and into the past, present, and future of “The Executioner”, will profile the life of one of this era’s most fascinating athletes, and includes never before seen footage of Hopkins’ visit last year to Graterford State Prison, where he was honored with a 60x20 mural of himself.
The Bernard Hopkins edition of “Beyond The Glory” will re-air on July 12. Check your local listings for air times.

Beyond The Glory is Fox Sports Net's highest-rated weekly program. The critically acclaimed documentary series profiles some of the most legendary and controversial athletes in recent history. This season, BTG examined the careers of boxing legend George Foreman, NFL superstars Donovan McNabb, Tony Dorsett, Daunte Culpepper and controversial Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. BTG also sat down with NBA greats Reggie Miller, Kevin Garnett and Grant Hill as well as legendary Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss and his family.

Previous seasons of BTG have delved into the lives of such athletes as Mike Tyson in a special two-hour Emmy-nominated episode, and in-depth interviews with sports notables such as Kobe Bryant, Chris Webber, Sammy Sosa, Cal Ripken Jr., Oscar De La Hoya, Evander Holyfield and NFL greats Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders.

NeXt in Line is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with DiBella Entertainment.
