Undefeated Oxnard, CA native Daniel Cervantes (6-0) returns to the ring on July 15 at the Pechanga Resort & Casino, it was announced today by Main Events CEO Kathy Duva. Cervantes, who is co-managed by two-time world champion Fernando Vargas, will compete in a six round jr. welterweight bout against Colorado City, CO native Anthony Vasquez. The July 15 Pechanga Resort fight card will be headlined by a 10 round super featherweight bout between undefeated Jason Litzau (14-0, 14 KO’s) and La Romana, Dominican Republic veteran John Nolasco (15-3-4, 6 KO’s). Undefeated heavyweight prospect BJ Flores (11-0-1, 8 KO’s) will compete in the eight round co-feature bout. Both bouts will be broadcast live on ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights” series.
The Cervantes-Vasquez bout is also expected to be televised, time permitting.
