Everything went wrong for Kassim "The Dream" Ouma last night in Las Vegas as he dropped a twelve round decision to new IBF light middleweight champions Roman "Made in Hell" Karmazin. Ouma was on the canvas twice thanks to Karmazin's sharp punching but came back to force a steady defense of his title until the final bell sounded and the scores were tallied. The final results showed scores of 117-111, 118-108 and 116-110 all in favor of the new champion Karmazin. This must be recognized as a huge upset as Ouma was set to fight Ronald Wright later this year and Karmazin's biggest fight to date was a losing effort to then WBC light middleweight champion Javier Castillejo; the same fighter thoroughly beaten by Oscar de la Hoya over the distance a few years ago.
