Tonight’s “Viva Don King” Fight Card Sells Out

Don King’s world championship boxing event tonight has officially sold out just hours before doors open in Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla.

“I want to thank our partners at the Seminole Hard Rock in South Florida, the Seminole Tribe of Florida and their Chairman James Billie, and all of the prizefighters on our card for a job well done," King said. "I can’t wait to get to Hard Rock Live to witness the event live and in person myself.

“The Seminole Hard Rock is working right now to put up the live WealthTV telecast around their property for those who can’t get inside the event. I live and promote for this type of thing. It’s very exciting!”

Over 5,000 tickets were sold in advance, and an official attendance will be announced after tonight’s event.

This “Viva Don King” card will be telecast live on WealthTV beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT featuring a cruiserweight world championship pitting World Boxing Association titleholder Guillermo “El Felino” Jones (37-3-2, 29 KOs) against WBA No. 14-ranked cruiserweight Mike Marrone (20-3, 15 KOs), from Vero Beach, Fla.

In addition to the main event, a minimum of three additional fights will be included in the telecast. A live Web stream will also be available at www.WealthTV.com.

The additional fights on the telecast include Miami’s Joey “Twinkle Fingers” Hernandez facing Elco “The Animal” Garcia (25-7, 12 KOs), from Guachochi, Mexico, with the WBC U.S. national super welterweight championship going to the winner; undefeated Cuban prospect Angelo “La Cobra” Santana (11-0, 8 KOs)—now living in Miami—defending his WBA FEDECARIBE super lightweight title against southpaw Broderick Antoine (11-11-1, 5 KOs), from Troy, N.Y.; and Venezuelan Gusmyr Perdomo (17-3, 11 KOs) taking on Lafarrell “Fabulous Fairway” Bunting (18-3-1, 17 KOs), from Memphis, Tenn., in a super middleweight attraction scheduled for nine rounds.

A non-title fight with world championship implications will be included in the telecast, time permitting, with WBA No. 1-ranked cruiserweight (and mandatory challenger to the champion) Francisco “The Wizard” Palacios (20-1, 13 KOs), a Puerto Rican now living in Orlando, squaring off against Joell Godfrey (13-4-1, 6 KOs), from East St. Louis, Ill.
