Etches, Jenkins Sell Out Charity Boxing Dinner Show

By Boxing Press November 9th, 2011 All Press Releases

Sheffield pair - Adam Etches and Scott Jenkins - have done their bit for charity by selling out the dinner show they box on later this month.

The Hatton Promotions pair box selected opponents when they fight at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Sheffield Park, on Thursday 24th November.

Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity will benefit from the fund-raising show, which sold out inside 24 hours when tickets went on sale last week.

Exciting light-middleweight Etches will be out to show the improvement he is making since recently joining the world famous Ingle gym.

Etches, 20, who has won all five professional fights said: “I am loving it at the Ingles. I am there every morning and afternoon training, learning and listening. I try to pick up something new every day there and I want to be able to prove that I can box and that I’m not just a puncher.
I enjoy fighting on these dinner shows and it certainly takes the pressure off when the tickets sell so quickly.”

Lightweight Jenkins, 20, will be bidding for his third win since turning professional in the summer when he boxes on the dinner show, and Sheffield Wednesday fans can’t forget him.

His sponsors Sheffield Kitchen Outlet have paid for an 18 foot banner of the young hopeful which stands outside Hillsborough.

He explained: “It looks really good and has my Twitter account and website on the banner and it is attracting attention. It must have helped shift tickets for the next fight because there wasn’t enough to go around. I just want to get out there and perform because I feel I am getting better all the time. I have travelled around, sparring, and it has been beneficial to me.”
