Undefeated British welterweight Michael Jennings became the British welterweight champion on Saturday in England when he knocked out Jimmy Vincent in round one of their fight. Vincent, the Birmingham battler had previously gone twelve rounds with hard-hitting Eamonn Magee and David Barnes but could not last out a round with Jennings who will likely go on to contest in much higher level competition. The fight was a support attraction on the Bolton, England fight card that also featured Amir Khan's debut and British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Matt Skelton facing Mark Krence.
