Scotland's super featherweight sensation "Amazing" Alex Arthur returns to the ring this week at the Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland to capture the European championship from Russian champion Boris Sinitsin. The fight will mark Arthur's fifth appearance since losing in dramatic fashion to Manchester's Michael Gomez in an all-out war, and Arthur, under the tutelage of famed American trainer Freddie Roach is out to prove that he is indeed the genuine article. Sinitsin is thirty-four and has been boxing professionally since 1992. He first contested the European super featherweight title in 1992 when he was stopped by France's Julien Lorcy. Having won and lost the title since then, he holds the championship to this day since beating Affif Djelti in 2003. Ironically, both fighter's faced Craig Docherty in their last ring appearances; Sinitsin took a decision win while Arthur knocked Docherty out in nine rounds.
