The rubber match will happen. Universaly recognized light heavyweight champion of the world Antonio "Magic Man" Tarver will take on former undisputed light heavyweight king Roy Jones on October 1 of this year. It is the third fight and perhaps the last between the two. In November of 2003, Tarver lost out on a close split decision loss that many boxing observers disputed. The rematch happened immediately in May 2004 and the boxing world stood shocked as Tarver chillingly knocked Jones out in two short rounds. Jones was the first to try and stake a claim in the division but went on to lose to journeyman Glen Johnson. Surprisingly, Tarver suffered the same fate, only to reverse the decision earlier this year. And so the stage is set for this final bout between two of the top ligth heavyweights of our time.
SaddoBoxing will cover all of the pre-fight build-up towards this epic finale coming to you from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
