Owen "What the Heck" Beck will make his return to the ring for the first time since losing by stoppage to New York's Monte "Two Gunz" Barrett. Beck will appear on the under-card of the undisputed welterweight championship fight between Zab Judah and Sharmba Mitchell. Beck will fight Belarussian contender Sergei Lyakhovich, who in kind with Beck has only one career loss, a knockout loss to Maurice Harris, strangely enough, in the ninth round, the very same round in which Barrett stopped Beck. The bout is not billed as an eliminator of any kind.
