United Promotions and Hennessy Sports will hold a public weigh-in and fighter face-off for fans, friends, and the media this Friday afternoon, February 10th, at 3:00PM at Real Sports Bar and Grill in Toronto, in advance of this Saturday’s Canadian Weterweight Title clash at Mississauga’s Hershey Centre.
Fans, friends, and members of the media can get an up close and personal opportunity to see Samuel Vargas and Manolis Plaitis, who will take part in a Canadian Championship on Saturday night, face-off at the official weigh-in on Friday before entering the ring.
Other fighters will participate in unofficial weigh-ins for the public.

Febuary 11th , the Hershey Centre in Mississauga will play host to a spectacular championship boxing event headlined by Vargas vs. Plaitis and co-featuring fan favorite, Ajax middleweight Brandon “Bad Boy” Cook (4-0, 2 KOs), against upset-specialist Chris Aucoin (4-5-1)
In an eight-round Special Middleweight Attraction Michael “The Brazilian Rocky” Oliveira rated No. 14 by the WBC, makes his Canadian boxing debut against Sergei “Baltic King” Melis (18-7, 7 KOs).
The card also features hot prospect Denton Daley (4-0, 2 KOs) who faces former Mexican National Boxing Team invader Benito “El Asesio” Quiroz (6-1, 6 Kos), as well as pro-debuting Hamilton lightweight Steven Wilcox vs. TBA in a four-round bout.
Whitby super middleweight Phil “The Assassin” Rose (3-1-1, 3 KOs) will be in action vs. Coteau-du-Lac’s cagey Francis Lafreniere (1-2-1, 1 KOs), along with undefeated Toronto prospect Ibrahim “Firearm” Kamal (6-0, 5 KOs) vs. Danish lightweight Tommi Schmidt (6-4, 3 KOs).

Tickets, starting at $30.00 are still available through Ticketmaster at (855) 985-5000 or ticketmaster.ca, and additional tickets allocated for walk-up traffic have just been released at the Hershey Centre Box Office.
