Last night, from La Paz, Mexico and in front of thousands of his countrymen, Jorge "Travieso" Arce (now 40-3-1, with 30 KOs) captured the interim WBC flyweight title via a three-round destruction of tough and rugged Angel Priolo (now 30-2-0, with 20 KOs). Arce's all out action style and heavy-hands overwhelmed Priolo, prompting the referee to stop the contest. With the win, "Travieso" has cleared the way for the proposed rematch against Hussein Hussein, which is scheduled for October 8, 2005. The first bout, which was won by Arce via tenth-round TKO, was a classic war of attrition which saw constant two way action between both gladiators. The return bout should be another thriller.
