Ring legend and former multi-weight world champion Tommy "Hitman" Hearns returned to action at the grand old age of forty-six last night. In his native Detroit, Hearns hardly turned back the years but managed to turn back the attendance of his fans as he took on unknown cruiserweight John Long. Long could not come out for the ninth round, but Hearns is a fighter that an overwhelming majority think should not come back for any more fights at such an advanced age. That eventuality does not appear to be on the cards though as Hearns intends to fight on, and perhaps for some time.
