Prospects Etches, Jenkins Britain’s Biggest Ticket Sellers ?

By Boxing Press March 3rd, 2012 All Press Releases

Adam Etches has already sold 500 tickets for his next fight.

The popular Sheffield light-middleweight will be in action on Hatton Promotions' double title bill in his hometown at Ponds Forge Arena, on Saturday March 24.

Etches, who is unbeaten in six pro fights, said: “Selling the tickets does mess me about sometimes, but it is all part of the job so I am not moaning.

It is hard work chasing everyone and getting them to buy tickets, but the more fans that come to watch - the better the atmosphere is on fight night.

I am usually out an hour every other night running around picking up money and dropping tickets off.”

Few fighters with just a handful of fights under their belt can match Etches popularity, although friend and Hatton Promotions stablemate - Scott Jenkins who also boxes on next months bill, sells a similar amount.

Hatton Promotions CEO Ricky Hatton said: “I think Adam and Scott are the biggest sellers around. Every time Adam and Scott have a fight - my Director of Boxing, Richard Poxon, takes as many tickets as he can get his hands on. Both boys appreciate that ticket selling is crucial in helping the promotion and getting their names out to a wider audience.”

In the main event on the Sky Sports televised show - local hero Ryan Rhodes meets Belarusian sensation Sergey Rabchenko for the vacant European light-middleweight crown.

The bumper show will also feature Gary Buckland’s British super-featherweight title defence against Middlesbrough’s Paul Truscott.

Unbeaten heavyweight Richard Towers will also be among the prospects in action, along with Jack Perry and Maxi Hughes

Boxing starts at 6.15pm and the remaining few tickets are priced at £35 general admission, £55 floor seating, £75 ringside and £100 VIP Ringside. You can buy by calling The Hatton Box Office 01925 755 222, Ticketmaster 0844 847 2500, Ticketline 0844 888 9991, any boxer on the bill or online www.hattonboxing.com
