This Saturday, in the champion's hometown of Tampa, Florida, Jeff Lacy puts his IBF super middleweight title on the line against former WBC super middleweight titlist Robin Reid of Great Britain. Lacy is undefeated in nineteen fights and has been on a tear since winning the IBF title. A win is likely to produce a showdown with WBO champion Joe Calzaghe of Wales to effectively clear up some of the indistinction currently plaguing the super middleweight division thansk to the tendency of its champions to avoid title unifications. Reid is a skilled boxer and powerful puncher but is also on virtually his last chance at a major world title, having already lost to such names as Calzaghe and noe retired former unified IBF/WBA champion Sven Ottke of Germany.
