After his demolition of Sharmba Mitchell, the question was put to our dedicated forum fans here at saddoboxing.com as to who exactly Kostya Tszyu should aim to fight next. Opinions are fairly divided on which other light welterweight deserves to share the ring with King Tszyu. The Russian/Korean Aussie's performance against Mitchell proved two things: Kostya Tszyu is the best light welterweight in the world and he is also the most hunted. Surprisingly, only a few fans expressed a desire to see Tszyu move up in weight to 147-pounds to challenge the undisputed welterweight champion, Cory Spinks. Even more surprising is the amount of fans that would like to see Tszyu back in the ring Zab Judah, the fighter he beat via a second round KO in 2001. Our readers agree that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is high in the pound for pound rankings, but they also concur that he is basically unproven as a light welterweight and would like to see him in other competition before fighting Tszyu. The consensus here is that fights with Miguel Cotto or Arturo Gatti would be the most entertaining to behold, but ones in which Tszyu would likely achieve victory. Finally, our readers concede that it is an outside possibility, but the prospect of a Tszyu-Hatton fight would be welcomed.
