Message from Mickey Helliet, Manager of Lewis Pinto
It was with great sadness that early on Sunday morning (3rd June) I learned that my good friend and boxer Lewis Pinto had tragically taken his own life. Everyone at Hellraiser Boxing has been shocked and extremely upset by this terrible news.
Lewis was a brave, motivated, ambitious and extremely popular boxer. He was a gentleman and someone I was very proud to represent as his boxing manager.
There are not enough Lewis Pintos in this world and he will be greatly missed by myself, my staff and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. A great many people have contacted me to express their condolences and I would like to add mine to these and express them to Lewis’ family.
Lewis was scheduled to box on July 6th at the Coronet Theatre in Elephant & Castle and at this event we will be holding an auction to raise funds to contribute towards the costs of his funeral, with any surplus monies raised being donated to the Samaritans charity.
