It is rumored that WBC heavyweight champion will finally return to the ring after what will be an almost one year absence to face WBC number one contender Hasim Rahman. Rahman secured his place earlier this month with a twelve round decision win over perennial contender Monte Barrett in a lackluster fight. Klitschko has not fought since his eight round demolition of British heavyweight Danny Williams in December of 2004. The Klitschko-Rahman bout is proposed as a headline attraction to take place at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on November 12. Rahman fought fives times in 2004 and once this year whilst Klitschko has managed no more than two outings per year in the last five years of his career.
We hope to report final confirmation of this fight soon.
