For the first time in the History of Scottish boxing 3 judges and a referee will decide the outcome of a Commonwealth Title fight. The British Boxing Board of Control recently gave way to the age old tradition that a British or Commonwealth Title fight in the UK would be decided solely by the referee. The referee will now be scoring. Andersons Manager Tommy Gilmour said; "I am sorry to see the rules being changed as I believe the referee is closer to the action and sees most things. However, with 3 judges we should get a better overall interpretation and this will be an advantage when it is a very close fight."
The undercard for the Anderson Vs Okine fight features the undefeated Light-Heavyweight Steve McGuire of Glenrothes together with Mike Reid, Jamie Coyle and Stuart Green, as well as new London Sensation George Hillyard.
The main support to the Anderson Contest will be announced later this week.
Tickets are priced at £40 (reserved seating) and £30(unreserved seating) and are available through Stevie McGuire, Tam Anderson & all the boxers on the bill as well as the St Andrew's Sporting Club on 0141 248 5461.
