Former European Champ Fegatilli Training Hard For Chakim

If you know former EBU champion Ermano “ll’l Dottore” Fegatilli (26-5-0 7 KO’s), he isn’t a vengeful man. He craves a world title more than anything, But you wouldn’t know that either.

Ermano Fegatilli is a silent killer who makes up for his mellow attitude with his tremendous fighting skills in the ring. That is how he plans to defeat Karim Chakim in their highly anticipated trilogy showdown later this month.

When asked about if he had any “vengeance” against Chakim, who he lost a 6 round bout in 2006 to, but avenged it later that year in an 8-rounder said “No I do not have any vengeance to take towards Chakim, I was a kid then, I am stronger, more confident mentally and technically better than before.”.

When discussing how he plans to adapt to the well skilled veteran Frenchman, He said “I hope to fight a beautiful and efficient fight in front of the people of Ghent, I‘ll win and I want to do so in a great way. I want to please the audience of my new promotors, Claude Van Hedde and Olivier Orlans.”

Ermano Fegatilli has been working hard in training. “My workouts are diversified with always improvement in mind in my conditioning, strength and techniques”. Leaving him sharp on anything Chakim can throw at him, He is prepped to make a statement in the expanding Junior Lightweight divison

He also made note of while he isn’t looking over Chakim, He is looking forward to potentially regaining his EBU title later this year. He lost a heavily disputed unanimous decision to current beltholder Devis Boschiero of Italy in August. Many observes felt it outlasted Boschiero to the victory.

In the coming years, A pursuit of the WBC title is also in play, where he has a solid ranking of #8. He is also ranked #14 by the WBO. But it is recognized that he has a long and harsh path to take prior to that, And needs to be well prepared for every fight including the thriller with Chakim.

National television station EXQI Sport will televise the entire stacked fight card live on March 29th. It is selling out fast so Belgian fans are urged to grab their tickets quickly before it is too late!
