In the main event of the Oscar de la Hoya promoted card in Corpus Christi, Texas, bantamweight contender Jhonny Gonzalez knocked out Gabriel Elizondo in the second round of an exciting confrontation. Elizondo drew first blood by putting Gonzalez to the canvas and it looked like Elizondo's unbeaten run might continue. But Gonzalez roared back and condemned Elizondo to the ground several times in the next stanza before the referee had no option but to call a halt to the fight just before the rounds end. Jhonny Gonzalez remains the NABO bantamweight champion. Stay tuned to saddoboxing.com for more details about these fighter as they happen.
