“RUMBLE AT THE ROCK” McCLINE, MIRANDA, AND FOREMAN ADDED TO OCTOBER 21ST UNDERCARD

The hunger! It’s something you can’t really describe, but you can see it. Look close, and you can see that hunger in the eyes of Heavyweight Title contenders David Tua and Jameel McCline, unbeaten Edison Miranda and rising star Yuri Foreman. It’s that determination to be the best, to become a World Champion that will be the focal point on October 21st.

On Friday, October 21, Seminole Warriors Boxing Promotions, in association with Cedric Kushner Promotions, is pleased to announce the latest addition of these boxing standouts to the star-studded “Rumble at The Rock” event, which is headlined by electrifying Heavyweight matchup between David “The Tuaman” Tua and Cisse “Cool C” Salif.

“We don’t want boxers going through the motions on this card,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing Promotions. “We want hungry fighters in competitive fights fighting for the chance to get to the top of the mountain. I think we’ve achieved that goal with the caliber of boxers that we’re bringing to the Hard Rock Live Arena on October 21st.”

“Rumble at The Rock” will air live on InDemand pay-per-view from the Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, Florida. Suggested retail price is $24.95.

Doors open at 6:30pm and the first bell rings at 7:30pm.

One of the premier Heavyweights in the world today, Jameel “Big Time” McCline (32-5-3, 20 KOs) has been at or near the top of the division for over four years, and he’s itching for the chance to get another shot at the brass ring. An imposing (6-6, 265 pounds) figure in the squared circle, McCline is coming off a no-nonsense third round knockout of veteran Steve Pannell on the August 26th show at the Seminole Hard Rock, and he vows to give fans another explosive performance on October 21st. Standing in his way will be fellow New York native Zuri Lawrence (19-10-4), a hard-nosed battler who is no stranger to scoring upsets, having handed 2000 Olympian Paolo Vidoz his first defeat in 2002.

Speaking of explosive performances, that’s a specialty for concussive punching Middleweight Edison Miranda (23-0, 20 KOs), who came to the United States from Colombia in 2005 with a well-deserved reputation as a decisive knockout artist (15 first round knockouts will do that). But since his arrival in Florida, Miranda has showed that he is more than just a puncher, as he has displayed impressive boxing skills in out-boxing tough foes Sam Reese and Jose Varela. The 24-year-old from Buenaventura likes the KO though. He’s got an eye on an early night come October. But that may be a problem when Miranda faces Chicago’s Angel Hernandez (26-6, 16 KOs). A former NABF and NABA Junior Middleweight Champion, Hernandez gave pound for pound entrant Winky Wright one of his toughest battles before losing a hard fought decision in 2003. The aggressive “El Toro” may just be the sternest test of Miranda’s young career, marking this bout as a potential! “Fight of The Year’ candidate.

Unbeaten Junior Middleweight prospect Yuri Foreman (18-0, 7 KOs) has thrilled fans in the Northeast with a mix of boxing and brawling. Now the 25-year-old Brooklyn, New York resident (who was born in Belarus and raised in Israel) is bringing his talent to South Florida when he faces rugged Minnesotan Troy Lowry (27-5, 16 KOs). Lowry is coming off the biggest win of his career in his June upset of, former World Champion, Santiago Samaniego (29-10-1, 29 KO’s). But Foreman knows that every fight is important now. After his nationally-televised win over previously unbeaten Kevin Cagle in May, he is moving closer and closer to a world title shot.
