OCT. 28 AT NEW ALHAMBRA
Philadelphia, PA—Undefeated junior middleweight Jason LeHoullier, of West Nottingham, NH, goes for his 18th pro victory when he boxes Tom Wilt, of Altoona, PA, in a scheduled eight-round contest Friday evening, Oct. 28, at the New Alhambra, Swanson & Ritner Streets, next to Forman Mills in South Philadelphia. First fight at 7.30 pm. Topping the seven-fight card is a scheduled 10-round middleweight contest between Willie Gibbs, of Southwest Philadelphia, and Marcos Primera, of Asheboro, NC.
CN8 will televise the card on a delayed basis (Oct. 30, 9-11 pm; Nov. 6, 12-2 pm) to more than six million homes along the East Coast from Maine to Virginia. LeHoullier, 27, has scored eight knockouts on his 17-0 record. In his last fight July 8, he registered an eight-round decision over Jose Medina, of Tilton, NH, in a match televised live by ESPN 2 from the Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH. Wilt, 36, was a four-time Pennsylvania State Golden Gloves champion as an amateur. As a pro, Wilt is 18-4-1, 4 K0s, but he was stopped in five rounds by Reggie Davis, of Portland, OR, in his (Wilt’s) last fight June 4 in Lincoln City, OR. That setback snapped Wilt’s eight-fight win streak. The only common opponent is Mark Norge, of Pittsburgh, PA, who lost to each man via six-round decision. Five additional bouts complete the Oct. 28 program.
Tickets for the Oct. 28 card are priced at $$35, $45 and $50. They are on sale at Peltz Boxing Promotions (215-765-0922) and Joe Hand Promotions (215-364-9000).
