Irish middleweight champion Matt Macklin makes his Philadelphia debut when he takes on Anthony Little in a scheduled eight-round contest Friday evening, Oct. 28, at the New Alhambra, Swanson & Ritner Streets next to Forman Mills, in South Philadelphia.

Hard-hitting middleweight Willie Gibbs, of Southwest Philadelphia, tops the seven-fight card when he boxes Marcos Primera, of Asheboro, NC, in the scheduled 10-round main event. First fight at 7.30 pm.

CN8 will televise the bout on a delayed basis (Oct. 30, 9-11 pm; Nov. 5, 9-11pm; Nov. 20, 12-2pm) to more than seven million homes along the East Coast from Maine to Virginia.

Macklin, 23, of Tippperary, Ireland, made his USA debut Aug. 4 when he knocked out Leo Laudat, of Atlanta, GA, in three rounds at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. A pro less than four years, Macklin has a 14-1 record, 10 K0s. Little, 24, of Akron, OH, is 5-2, 1 K0. In his last fight Aug. 19 in Columbus, OH, Little outpinted Vancy Garvey, of Indianapolis, IN, over six rounds.

Junior middleweights Jason LeHoullier, of West Nottingham, NH, and Tom Wilt, of Altoona, PA, collide over eight rounds. LeHoullier is 17-0, 8 K0s; Wilt is 18-4-1, 4 K0s. Harry Yorgey, of Bridgeport, PA, unbeaten in 10 pro fights, puts that record on the line in a six-round fight against Doug Esbenshaden, of Lancaster, PA. Esbenshaden has won five in a row and is 6-3, 1 K0, overall Tickets for the Oct. 28 card are priced at $35, $45 and $50. They are on sale at Peltz Boxing Promotions (215-765-0922) and Joe Hand Promotions (215-364-9000).
