Thiam suffered a knockdown. The Frenchman beat the count but referee Manuel Maritxalar of Spain was forced to stop the title fight later on, at 2:23 of the seventh round.

Attila Kovacs of Hungary retains his European Boxing Association Super Welterweight title and improves to 15-1 (9). Mamadou Thiam falls to 42-5 (39). The judges of the contest were Lahcen Oumghar (NTH); Ove Ovesen (DK); Miklos Dory (HU)

On the same bill, undefeated former IBF/WBA International Middleweight Champion Jozsef Nagy won a unanimous points decision over British veteran Danny Thornton to take the the vacant EBA Super Middleweight Title. The official scorecards were as follows: Ove Ovesen (DK) 117-112; Manuel Maritxalar (SP) 119-109; Miklos Dory (HU) 118-110. Referee of the contest was Lahcen Oumghar from Holland.

Jozsef Nagy of Hungary improves 12-0 (10) and becomes the new European Boxing Association Super Middleweight Champion while opponent Danny Thornton drops to 18-10-3 (4).
