Danny Williams: \”Audley\’s a Celebrity Get Him In There!

By Boxing Press November 16th, 2005 All Press Releases

Danny Williams reckons Audley Harrison will need to go on the new series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! to rebuild his career after their fight on December 10 at the ExCeL London. The Brixton puncher, who in the build up to their grudge clash has accused Harrison of being a celebrity boxer, intends to not only smash up his rival but also reduce his celebrity status to rubble.

In a stinging attack Dynamite Dan said, "He might be a powder-puff when it comes to punching but one thing about Audley is that he can talk so there is never any danger of him being out of work once I've finished his boxing career!"

"Until now, Audley has enjoyed the idea, glamour and razzmatazz of being a boxer but he hasn't experienced what it is really like to be in fight where he is in the trenches and has to dig deep into himself,"

"Audley's more into his TV chat shows and getting his face into the celebrity glossy magazines rather than preparing for a long hard fight,"

"Once I've knocked him out and his celebrity rating is zero he could make it back by going onto a reality show like I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of here,"

"He could handle a bush tucker trial but he should definitely leave the fighting to the professionals,"

Williams knows about digging deep following his brave fight against Mark Potter five years ago when he fought with a dislocated shoulder from the second round onwards to sensationally win by KO in the sixth round.

He added, "He's unbeaten in 19 fights over five years but in that time he's never taken anyone on who represents the slightest bit of danger,"

"My fight against Potter proved to everyone that I have the heart and desire to fight and win,"

"Audley was there that night and somebody said to me he looked a bit faint watching it which says to me he doesn't have the heart for the battle but we will find out on the night,"

"When the heat is on and Audley's down he will ask himself "Do I really need to go through all this pain and hurt when I can have a quiet life?" and I know the answer is going to be no."
