to Ibragimov's repeated placement of his fist in the towering heavyweight's face. Despite several conference attendees jumping onto the backs of the combatants, it was pure mayhem for several minutes and when the smoke cleared, one of the promoters, Samson Lefkowitcz, was lying on the floor unconscious after having been struck simultaneously by both men when he tried to step between them.
The press conference was supposed to herald the Warrior Boxing promoted fight card, which will take place at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida on December 15th. In addition to the headlining bout between Whitaker, 31-3-1 (26), and Ibragimov, 18-0 (15), the exciting heavyweight Samuel Peter, 24-1 (21), takes on Robert Hawkin, 21-4 (7). The undercard will host several other contests featuring such accomplished fighters as “Irish” John Duddy, Juan Urango, and Dale Brown. The fight card will be televised for $19.95 on Pay-Per-View On-Demand.
