Denver, CO - Recently it was announced by the promoters of Nicolay Valuev that he would not only defend his WBA Heavyweight Title on April 1st in Germany, but that they had also narrowed their list of potential opponents down to five. That list included myself, Barrett, Beck, Austin &Holmes. I want to make is abundantly clear to everyone, that I am ready, willing and able to accept the challenge, be it in Germany or in a phone booth at the airport, I want Nicolay, now we shall see if Nicolay wants me.
I have spoken with Don King and he assured me that my name was in the mix and that he would work on making this fight a reality, but there is one easy way to make this fight happen and that is for Nicolay to tell his team and Don King that he wants to defend against me; DaVarryl "Touch of Sleep" Williamson.
Up until now, I have never called anyone out, but I feel that at this point of my career, I have no choice, and to that end I am publicly stating that I want Nicolay, anytime or anywhere. The old adage of "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" will have never been as true as it will be when Nicolay steps into the ring with me. TIMBER!
Sincerely,
-DaVarryl "Touch of Sleep" Williamson
