Spotlight Boxing is starting into the year 2006 with a show at Universum-Gym of Hamburg, tomorrow on January 24. Boxinglive.TV will broadcast the first six fights live on the internet starting at 18:00 (CET). The last three contests will be broadcast by Eurosport live at 21:00.
Main attractions of each broadcast is an interesting heavyweight clash.
Live on Boxinglive.TV fans can observe the fifth professional fight of German heavyweight prospect Dieter Roth (102 kg), 4-0 (2), when he takes on Ukrainian Alexander Subin (96 kg), 5-7 (1). Dieter Roth is the younger brother of Egon Roth, a heavyweight contender like his brother but more established at 13-0 (11). Experts regard the Roths as the most interesting heavyweight brothers since the emergence of the Klitschkos.
Another interesting heavyweight contest takes place about two hours later live on Eurosport when Ukrainian prospect Taras Bidenko (104 kg), 15-2 (9), fights undefeated Swede Aldo Colliander (98,9 kg), 9-0 (4), in what is likely to be a very heated clash of two former sparring partners.
In further fights Ghana’s 6-foot-6 heavyweight giant Frank Frimpong (116 kg) makes his German debut against Aleksandre Borhovs, 6-15-1 (3), live on the internet.
The last Eurosport televised live fight will be a cruiserweight contest with former WBO title challenger Alexander Petkovic, 32-3, who faces Frenchman Kamel Amrane, 28-4-2 (17).
